Pressure washer on external pavement
“Dai” in Italian means “come on!” but also it’s the imperative of “to give”.
This work is about time, illness and fear of choices. I made it after my sister and I moved in to my grandparents’ house. In that period It was difficult for her to make decisions about her life, and she spended many hours on the balcony smoking and overthinking it. In the same house my grandfather lived his last years and after he had a stroke the only word he could say was “Dai”.
The writing was made by cleaning the floor, so in a few years, when it will get dirty again, it will disappear.
